Weather update: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy rains in South Tamil Nadu on March 2 and Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Karaikal, Kerala and Mahe on March 3. According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), one western tension could affect north-western India from the night of 28 February and the other from 2 March.

Scattered light to moderate rain or snow is expected in the western Himalayan region from 28 February to 3 March due to western disturbances. Also, light rain is expected in isolated plains in north-west India on 02 March 2022.

The meteorological department said isolated areas of Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Sikkim and northern Chhattisgarh are likely to receive showers and thundershowers in the next 24 hours. It is also expected to rain in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura in the next two days. In the next 24 hours, there is a possibility of thunderstorms in isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, West Assam, Meghalaya and Tripura.

At the same time, strong winds are expected in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands from February 27 to March 1. Its speed can be 30-50 kmph. There is also a possibility of rain. The IMD has forecast heavy rains in the Nicobar Islands on February 27 and 28.
