Light showers are expected in isolated areas of Punjab, North Haryana and Chandigarh and western Uttar Pradesh in the next 4 days.
IMD Weather Forecast: In the next 24 hours, light to moderate rain or snow is likely in Jammu and Kashmir-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad and Himachal Pradesh. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) said in a statement on Wednesday.
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of thunder and rain in isolated places in the region in the next 24 hours. Today, February 23, heavy rain / snow is expected in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan and Muzaffarabad.
There is a possibility of scattered rain or snow in these areas for the next three days. The meteorological department further said that scattered rains or snowfall is likely in isolated areas of Uttarakhand state for the next four days.
The meteorological department has forecast light rain in isolated parts of Punjab, North Haryana and Chandigarh and western Uttar Pradesh in the next four days. There will also be isolated light rains in Delhi and eastern Uttar Pradesh on February 25 and 26.
The IMD said that Bihar, Jharkhand, Orissa and West Bengal and Sikkim are likely to receive scattered or moderate rains with thunderstorms and lightning on February 24 and 25. On February 24 and 26, moderate to heavy rains were forecast in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura.

There is also a possibility of thunderstorms in this northeast on 25 February. In a new warning, the IMD further said that a new western disturbance from 28 February could affect north-western India.
Due to the Western Disturbance, there is a possibility of widespread light or moderate rain or snowfall in the western Himalayan region from 28 February to 2 March. On March 1 and 2, light rain is expected in the surrounding plains of northwestern India due to storms.
The Andaman and Nicobar Islands are expected to receive light to moderate rainfall over the next five days. The IMD has confirmed that isolated heavy rains are also expected on February 28.
