Stock Market Update: On Wednesday, the third day of the week, the stock markets closed with strong momentum. The Sensex and Nifty closed strong with green marks. The Sensex gained 740.34 points, or 1.28 percent, to close at 58,683.99. In addition, the Nifty 50 index rose 173 points, or 1 percent, to close at 17,498.30. At the time of 2001, 1213 shares were sold and out of that, 93 shares remained unchanged.
