It was India’s 1000th ODI match, where they lost four wickets in just 28 overs to reach the target of 177 runs.

After a stellar performance by bowlers led by spinners, India lost to West Indies by six wickets in the opening match of a three-match ODI series on the back of a tempting 80 by skipper Rohit Sharma. This is India’s 1000th ODI match, where they lost four wickets in just 28 overs to reach the target of 177 runs.

This is the first victory of the Indian team this year. Earlier in the tour of South Africa, they had to lose 0-3. Rohit hit 10 fours and a six in his 51-ball innings. He got good support from Ishan Kishan and both of them shared 84 runs for the first wicket to lay the foundation for the victory.

After winning the toss and deciding to bowl under new captain Rohit, India bowled out West Indies for 176 in 43.5 overs with spin bowling by Yuzbendra Chahal and Washington Sundar.

Chahal took four wickets for 49 runs in 9.5 overs and three wickets for 30 runs in nine overs. Give to the famous Krishna, on the other hand Muhammad Siraj has got success.

After losing seven wickets for 79 runs in the 23rd over, West Indies got into trouble at one stage but former captain Jason Holder and Fabian Allen got the team out of trouble with a pair of 78 runs for the eighth wicket. Holder made 58 off 61 balls with four sixes.

Chasing the target, Rohit hit a boundary off Kemar Roach in the first over. He then hit four against Holder in the fourth over and against Roach in the fifth over. Batting cautiously at the other end, he opened the innings with four hits against Holder in the sixth over.

Under-19 World Cup: India have won the Under-19 World Cup for the fifth time, with Dinesh Banerjee winning the last six.

Rohit hit two fours and a six against Roach in the tenth over. He completed the 44th fifty of his ODI career with two runs in the 12th over.

Aljari Joseph broke Rohit in the first ball of the 13th over to give West Indies their first victory. Virat Kohli then hit two fours in a row as he landed at the crease, but was caught by Roach in the process of hitting another big shot in the fifth ball of the over.

West Indies came back with two wins in the same over but Pant kept his foot on the crease for four and then Kishan eased the pressure with a six.

After gaining momentum, Kishan caught Fabian Allen in Akil Hossain’s delivery in the process of playing another big shot. He made 28 off 36 balls.

Pant was unfortunately run out in the next over. He scored 11 runs off nine balls. After that, Suryakumar Yadav and debutant Deepak Huda won the match by averaging 72 runs.

Both batted cautiously and collected runs without giving the West Indies bowlers much of a chance. Suryakumar hit the winning four off Allen’s ball. He hit an unbeaten 34 off 36 balls with five fours, while Hooda hit an unbeaten 26 off 32 balls with two fours.

Earlier, West Indies opener Shy Hope (7 runs) showed signs of attacking two fours in a row against Mohammad Siraj in the third over of the innings but was bowled by the next ball and returned to the pavilion.

After the first success, the Indian bowlers bowled tight so that the West Indies could score only 39 for one in the opening powerplay.

Washington Sundar returned to the team after pushing West Indies in the 12th over. Brandon King (13 runs) was caught by Suryakumar in the second ball of the over and Darren Bravo was caught lbw in the sixth ball. Though the on-field umpire rejected the Indian players’ plea, captain Rohit took refuge in DRS. Television replays showed the ball hitting the wicket and the umpire had to change his decision. Bravo made 18 off 34 balls.

Nicholas hit four against Shardul Tagore and then Sundar as soon as Puran came to the crease, but Rohit gave the ball to Yuzbendra Chahal in the 20th over, who pushed Puran and skipper Kieron Pollard to the West Indies for two in a row. Gave the ball in his opening over.

Chahal applied for a leg-before against Puran in the third ball of the over, but after the on-field umpire refused, a review was taken and the umpire had to change his decision. He hit 18 off 25 balls. In this way, Chahal completed his 100 wickets in ODIs.

He hit the West Indies for the sixth time in his second over. This time his victim was Shamar Brooks (10 runs), caught by Pant behind the wicket. This is the third time that India has resorted to a review after the on-field umpire was rejected, which was successful.

In the next over, Pant took a great catch in the hands of Hussain with the famous Krishna. He failed to open an account. After Hussein’s dismissal, the West Indies were fighting for 79 for seven in 23 overs, but then former captain Jason Holder and returning Allen put the team out of a difficult situation with a great partnership.

They both run and run, sending the ball across the boundary line. This time Holder looked more aggressive as he hit three sixes against Chahal.

After hitting a six against Shardul in the 37th over, he completed his 2000 runs in ODI cricket and completed his half-century in the next over with two runs against Sundar.

In the same over, it is beautiful to break this pair of 6 runs by catching Allen with his own ball. Allen made 29 off 43 balls with two fours. In the 41st over, Krishna ended Holder’s innings with a catch behind the wicket by Pant. Chahal then dismissed Joseph for his fourth wicket, which reduced the West Indies’ innings.
