The Tata group has made Air India part of their group at a time when airlines around the world are trying to recover from the effects of the corona. Even after the lockdown in 2020, the airlines’ effectiveness has not returned to normal.

Alex Cruz, former chairman and CEO of British Airways, could be the new CEO of Air India. He has extensive experience in the airline industry. He will be responsible for bringing back the brilliance of Air India. Air India was once the largest airline in the country. But gradually his condition deteriorated. The government recently sold it to the Tata Group.

British Airways laid off 13,000 workers in October 2020. He then resigned as CEO of the airline. Prior to that, he was the head of Low Cost Spanish Airlines. He also has experience running low cost airlines. He studied industrial engineering from Ohio University. He is also a professor at IESE Business School. He is currently a board member of several companies.

Last week, Tata Group took over the reins of Air India. He is said to be forming a team of professionals to get the airline’s activities back on track. The new board of the airline is expected to be headed by N Chandrasekhar, chairman of the group. Tata currently has airlines like Vistara and AirAsia India in addition to Air India and Air India Express.

The Tata group has made Air India part of their group at a time when airlines around the world are trying to recover from the effects of the corona. Even after the lockdown in 2020, the airlines’ effectiveness has not returned to normal. There are still many restrictions on foreign flights. Air India competes with airlines such as Indigo, SpiceJet and GoAir.
